DK+L Originals is an independent Australian design label born in Sydney, inspired by the coast, the bush and the colourful character of Australian life.
From clothing for children and adults to jewellery, artwork and gifts, our original collections are designed with a love of colour, natural fibres, Australian wildlife and the places that shape us.
We design the Australia we know and love — sun-soaked, colourful, a little wild and never too serious. From childhood spent outdoors to city streets, native wildlife, beach days and the humour woven through Australian life, these are the stories behind what we make.

The Founder
DK+L Originals was founded by Magdalena, a designer and illustrator with a lifelong love of colour, creativity and the Australian landscape.
Inspired by the contrast of the places she calls home — the wildness of Bundeena and the Royal National Park, and the energy of The Rocks and Sydney Harbour— Magdalena creates clothing, artwork and objects that feel rooted in this place.
Her work celebrates the Australia she knows and loves: sun, sea and bush; childhood adventures; extraordinary wildlife; city life; colour, humour and our tendency not to take ourselves too seriously.
Born of Sun & Sea grew from this idea — a celebration of Australian life as we live it, rather than how it is traditionally represented.

Our home is at The Rocks, in the heart of Sydney and just moments from the harbour.
The store brings the world of DK+L Originals together — our own collections alongside a carefully chosen edit of Australian designers and pieces we genuinely love.
